01 — Problem

Two different clients needed working software, not a template: KLE Society's SCP College needed a content-manageable site their staff could actually update, and a spa & fitness center needed to stop double-booking appointments over the phone.

02 — Context

As a freelance full-stack developer, responsible for end-to-end delivery — requirements, build, and deployment — for each client directly.

03 — System Built

KLE Society's SCP College website, rebuilt on Grav CMS for easy content management; and a booking and scheduling system for a spa & fitness center.

04 — Engineering

Client specifics and live URLs are under client confidentiality — contact for a walkthrough of either build.

05 — Decisions

Chose Grav CMS for the college site specifically so non-technical staff could update content without a database-backed CMS to maintain.

06 — Result

Both systems delivered and in use: the college site as the institution's live web presence, the booking system eliminating manual calendar management for the spa.

07 — What I Learned

Client work rewards defaults that survive without you — a flat-file CMS and a self-service booking flow both mean the client isn't calling you every time something needs to change.

08 — Next Iteration

Ongoing maintenance and feature requests as each client's needs evolve.
